We’re growing quickly and are looking for a Business Developer to join our team. In this commercial role, you help clients identify the security solutions that best fit their needs and spot new opportunities to support their long-term resilience.

What you will be doing

  • You introduce our Active Defense services to both new and existing clients, helping them understand where DEFION creates real value.

  • You act as the key account manager for a selection of clients, building long-term relationships they can rely on.

  • You uncover the specific needs of prospects and translate those into the right security solutions. You understand their risk profile and know which of our Managed Services truly fits.

  • You bring a genuine hunter mentality — spotting opportunities, opening doors, and driving conversations forward.

  • You collaborate closely with our business units (Prevent, Detect, Respond, and Governance) to craft the best-fit IT security solutions.

  • You get excited about ambitious — but achievable — goals, and you work hand in hand with the commercial team to make them happen.

  • You prepare high-quality proposals that are clear, compelling, and aligned with client expectations.

  • You take initiative when something needs to be organized — workshops, lunches, master classes — you make sure clients feel engaged and supported.

  • You enjoy attending industry events and know exactly which ones deserve a spot on your agenda.

This is what you've got to offer:

  • A university or university of applied sciences degree.
  • Work experience in (cybersecurity) sales.
  • Familiar with MDR, SIEM and Endpoint Security? That's a bonus!
  • Broad knowledge of cybersecurity is also useful.
  • A smooth talker (both in Dutch and English).
  • A lot of empathy (useful for customers AND colleagues 😉).
