Challenge
As the largest provider of games of chance in the Netherlands — with brands such as Staatsloterij, TOTO, and Lotto — Nederlandse Loterij processes large amounts of privacy-sensitive data and financial transactions. In an increasingly digital landscape with growing threats, there was a need for a continuous and flexible approach to keep applications, cloud environments, and internal infrastructure secure.
Solution
Nederlandse Loterij opted for DEFION's Security Assurance program. This gives them access to a wide range of security services for a fixed annual fee. Together with a specialist, an annual roadmap is drawn up and services are provided that are tailored to current needs — from pentests and secure code reviews to security training and incident monitoring.
Findings are shared via a dashboard with a ticketing link, enabling the right measures to be taken quickly. DEFION also keeps Nederlandse Loterij informed of research and test results and trends so the security strategy can be adjusted accordingly.
